Parent Workshops & Forums

We offer a range of interactive workshops, forums and other events for parents and parent groups.

Workshops are tailored to meet the interests and needs of different school parent communities and can cover areas like:

  • The most important things parents and families can do to support children’s learning - primary and secondary school
  • Communication skills – active listening, respectful assertiveness and negotiating differences
  • Home – school partnerships
  • Running parent organisations and managing meetings.

Workshops are free of charge for all Federation members, and otherwise reasonably priced.

Our two annual forums are free and open to all school communities.

Through Parents Australia Incorporated, we also offer the parent-to-parent workshop series Successful Learning – The Parent Factor. These ae suitable for parents with children in the first two years of school and cover how families can support children’s early reading, writing and mathematics development.
